Moscow Becomes a Platform for Strengthening Russian–Vietnamese Business Dialogue

Moscow hosted the Russian–Vietnamese Business Forum, a significant event aimed at enhancing trade and economic ties between the two countries. The forum brought together representatives from government bodies, the business community, and industry leaders from both Russia and Vietnam.
Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations took part in the forum, emphasizing the importance of direct dialogue between the entrepreneurial communities of the two nations. The event focused on prospects for bilateral cooperation in sectors such as industry, agriculture, investment, digital technologies, and tourism.
“Hanoi is one of Moscow’s most important and multifaceted international partners. The two capitals enjoy a close and diverse partnership governed by six bilateral agreements that cover areas such as urban management, transportation, information technology, trade and investment, culture, sports, education, and tourism,” the Minister noted.

It is worth mentioning that prior to the conference, Sergey Cheremin held talks with Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee. During the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold Moscow Days in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in the autumn of 2025. Plans were also made to sign a new Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Moscow and the Hanoi People’s Committee.
He further emphasized that in today’s context, a systematic approach to creating a favorable business environment, supporting joint initiatives, and identifying new growth points is of particular importance. According to him, the Russian–Vietnamese partnership holds great potential, and platforms like this forum enable a practice-oriented dialogue that drives the launch of joint projects.
The forum showcased successful cooperation cases, explored tools for government support, and discussed mechanisms for attracting investment and facilitating the exchange of experience between the business communities of both countries.

The Minister’s participation in the business forum reaffirmed Moscow’s commitment to developing strong, mutually beneficial relations with Hanoi, grounded in trust, professionalism, and strategic vision.
