“Vientiane Days” to Be Held in Moscow on February 27
As part of a cultural exchange initiative and the strengthening of friendly relations between Russia and Laos, Moscow will host Vientiane Days.
The event program includes the signing of a Cooperation Program between the Moscow Government and the Vientiane City Hall for the period 2025–2028.
A forum on the development of business cooperation between Moscow and Vientiane will also take place during the event, featuring presentations from representatives of the business sector. Participants will discuss areas such as culture, tourism, IT, energy, agriculture, and trade. The forum will also feature an exhibition showcasing Laotian products — an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors to establish new contacts and explore potential partnerships.
Vientiane Days will conclude with a cultural program, highlighted by a vibrant and memorable performance by the Laotian folk dance ensemble The Pianist Vientiane Chamber Orchestra. This is a unique opportunity to experience the culture of Laos and immerse oneself in the spirit of its national traditions.
The event is supported by the Moscow Department for External Economic and International Relations, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vientiane City Hall, and the Moscow Center for International Cooperation (ANO MCIC). Among the participants will be Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, Atsaphangthong Siphandone, Governor of Vientiane, and other officials.
Laos is a country with a rich and diverse culture, preserving its customs and traditions through the centuries. Vientiane Days in Moscow will offer a rare chance to explore its cultural heritage and gain deeper insight into both its history and contemporary life.
The event will be a vibrant highlight in Moscow’s cultural calendar and will contribute to the further strengthening of friendly ties between Russia and Laos.
From October 28 to 31, 2024, the capital of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Vientiane, hosted a series of cultural and business events titled Moscow Days in Vientiane. Following the event, the Moscow Government and Vientiane City Hall agreed to deepen cultural and business cooperation and to hold Vientiane Days in Moscow on a reciprocal basis in 2025.
