Moscow Expands Bilateral Cooperation with the Republic of Turkey
A delegation from the Government of Moscow, led by Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations (DEEIR) Sergey Cheremin, visited the Republic of Türkiye on a business mission. Meetings were held in Istanbul and Antalya.
Moscow and Turkish cities are planning to exchange expertise in areas such as urban infrastructure development, public space renovation, mitigation of extreme weather impacts, expansion of green zones, development of multimodal transport hubs, enhancement of water and rail transport networks, and the advancement of cultural and sports centers.
During the visit, Sergey Cheremin held discussions with Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu to explore the future of bilateral cooperation. The Moscow delegation also visited Antalya University.

Representatives of Moscow’s business community expressed interest in mutually beneficial partnerships in IT, financial services, and tourism. In addition, Moscow aims to strengthen cooperation with Türkiye in the cultural, humanitarian, and film sectors.
Collaboration between Moscow and Antalya continues to deepen. In August, Antalya joined the UrbanTransportData analytics platform during the International Transport Summit held in Moscow. Project participants expressed confidence that Antalya’s involvement will enhance joint efforts in transport innovation and technology.
The two sides also agreed to maintain contact with Antalya’s College of Hospitality and the Aksu Anatolian High School of Aviation Maintenance to foster institutional partnerships. Moscow and Antalya are expected to prepare proposals for academic, faculty, and student exchange programs between leading universities in both cities.
