The Government of Moscow to Establish Working Group to Expand Presence of Chinese Companies in the Capital

Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, met with Zhou Liquan, Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia, at the Greenwood International Trade and Exhibition Center.

The parties discussed potential cooperation with Chinese businesses and agreed to form a working group comprising representatives of the Government of Moscow and the Greenwood complex. The group will focus on providing guarantees and incentives to facilitate the expansion of Chinese enterprises in Moscow’s market.

During the meeting, representatives from the Moscow and Chinese delegations explored opportunities for closer collaboration between Chinese entrepreneurs and Moscow’s technology parks and innovation hubs. The Chinese delegation was given a brief tour of the Greenwood International Trade and Exhibition Center, along with insights into business development prospects for potential partners.

The Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia was established in 2006. Its primary objectives include facilitating business connections between the two countries, providing informational consulting services, and strengthening dialogue between enterprises. The union’s mission is to set a “gold standard” for Russian-Chinese business cooperation and to foster collaboration across multiple industries and sectors.
