Moscow to Present the Capital’s Digital Solutions at GITEX Asia 2026 in Singapore

From April 7 to 10, 2026, a Moscow Government delegation led by Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, will visit Singapore. The visit, timed to coincide with the 11th Russian‑Singapore Business Dialogue and the GITEX Asia 2026 international exhibition, marks an important step in developing Moscow’s cooperation with the Asia‑Pacific region.

From April 7 to 9, ahead of the business dialogue, the Russian‑Singapore Business Council will organize a series of events bringing together business, technology companies, investors, universities, and the cultural community from Russia and Asia‑Pacific countries. The cultural program includes a creative evening with representatives of Russian cinema, where guests will discuss current industry trends, followed by a screening of a contemporary Russian film.

On April 9–10, the Moscow delegation will take part in GITEX Asia 2026 – one of the region’s leading technology events focused on innovation, startups, and digital investment. On April 9, the official opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place, with Sergey Cheremin as a participant.

On the same day, the Moscow stand will open, showcasing the capital’s advanced technological solutions in IT, urban management, video analytics, communications, and digital security. Visitors will be able to explore developments from Positive Technologies (specializing in cybersecurity), VisionLabs (facial recognition and video analytics for smart cities), as well as digital services from the Moscow Department of Information Technologies. The exposition reflects Moscow’s integrated approach to developing a digital urban environment.

As part of the exhibition, Sergey Cheremin will speak on a panel discussion titled “Chips, Cloud Storage and Connectivity: Building the AI Foundation in Asia.” Participants will discuss AI infrastructure development – data centers, cloud ecosystems, telecommunications, and semiconductor technologies – as well as issues of energy efficiency, resilience, and technological sovereignty. Special attention will be paid to building effective partnerships among governments, telecoms, and technology corporations.

The business program also includes the 11th Russian‑Singapore Business Dialogue “Technological and Investment Cooperation between Russia and Asia‑Pacific Countries.” Participants will discuss a wide range of issues: investment in technology development and access to international markets, prospects for fintech and digital finance as tools for project promotion in Asia‑Pacific, smart city development, and the use of data as an investment resource. Considerable attention will be given to innovation regulation and creating a transparent business environment, the development of AI and machine learning, as well as the implementation of IoT and industrial automation solutions. A separate session will focus on the role of education and science as drivers of technology partnership.

Sergey Cheremin will take part in the forum. He will present to the international audience Moscow’s current experience in digitalization, sustainable development, and the application of AI technologies in urban governance, as well as outline prospects for technology exchange and joint projects with Singaporean and regional partners.

The participation of the Government of Moscow in the Singapore events is aimed at expanding international cooperation, promoting the capital’s technological solutions, and strengthening partnerships with business and institutional circles in the Asia‑Pacific region. The visit will create additional opportunities for launching joint projects, developing investment cooperation, and exchanging best practices in the digital economy and urban governance.
