Moscow Takes Part in Opening of GITEX Asia 2026 Exhibition

The opening of GITEX Asia 2026 – one of the largest international events in innovation and the digital economy – took place in Singapore. This year, the exhibition features representatives from 110 countries. The focus is on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, telecommunications, cloud solutions, data centers, and digital health, bringing together leading global developers with the rapidly growing Asian market.

Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, took part in the official opening ceremony. The Moscow delegation’s participation underscores the capital’s strategic interest in developing partnerships with Asia‑Pacific countries.

On the same day, the official opening of the Moscow city stand took place as part of the exhibition. The event was also attended by Sergey Ganzha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Singapore; Chris McQueen, Managing Director of Kaoun International for Southeast Asia; and Alexander Zhivov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Singapore.

Speaking at the booth opening, Sergey Cheremin expressed his appreciation for Moscow’s opportunity to participate in the event and emphasized the importance of international cooperation.

“Moscow has a wide network of international partners around the world. We are actively developing city diplomacy and strive to be part of a sustainable global community,” he said.

The Minister also highlighted the capital’s active implementation of innovations: “Every year, Moscow launches a number of projects using artificial intelligence. This allows the city to remain a dynamic and energetic metropolis, create a comfortable urban environment, and provide convenient access to public services.”

Moscow’s participation in GITEX Asia 2026 and the presentation of its digital solutions reaffirm the capital’s status as a leading hub for smart city technologies and an open platform for international technological cooperation.
