“A Celebration for the Future”: Thai Festival and Business Forum with Delegations from the Kingdom of Thailand to Be Held in Moscow
From July 31 to August 2, 2026, the Thai Festival in Moscow will take place in the Hermitage Garden, and on the eve, July 30, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) will host the business forum “Business Dialogue. Moscow — Bangkok. The Vector of Business Cooperation.” The events are organized with support from the Government of Moscow, the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in the Russian Federation, Thai provincial administrations, the Creative Economy Agency of Thailand, universities, and the business community. The series of events aims to expand cultural and economic ties between Russia and Thailand.
The 2026 Thai Festival in Moscow, held under the motto “A Celebration for the Future: Creativity in Life and in the Heart,” will be the centerpiece of the three days. On the first day, July 31, guests can look forward to performances by music and dance ensembles from leading Thai universities — Thaksin University, Rangsit University, Srinakharinwirot University, and the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music. There will also be shows of traditional Thai costumes, Chud Thai, in collaboration with the Moscow Fashion Week team and with support from the Government of Moscow. The official opening ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the participation of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Russia and the leadership of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow. The first day will close with a concert by People’s Artist of Russia Igor Butman.
Throughout all three days, venues will offer visitors traditional and contemporary Thai performances — from classical dance to contemporary music. The program features professional artists, Thai university students, and high school students from Chonburi Province. Joint performances by Thai and Russian artists will highlight the value of intercultural dialogue and creative exchange.
Special attention is given to introducing Thailand’s crafts and creative industries. Guests will see handmade goods, textiles, home decor, and decorative arts, and will be able to take part in workshops led by artists and artisans. The food area will showcase Thai dishes — tom yum, pad Thai, khao soi, exotic fruits, and products from different regions of the country. Cooking workshops focused on Thailand’s food culture will be offered for those interested.
The festival will also showcase the kingdom’s tourism potential: representatives of tourism associations will talk about vacation and travel opportunities in various provinces. Annual attendance exceeds 30,000, confirming the strong interest of Muscovites and visitors to the capital in Thai culture and helping strengthen people-to-people ties.
On July 30, 2026, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host a business forum organized by the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow together with the Thai Embassy and the MCCI. Participants will be able to establish direct contacts with Thai partners, learn about companies’ products and services, and discuss prospects for joint projects and investment cooperation. The Thai delegation will include business representatives and industry associations from jewelry manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and health products, the food industry, fashion and sportswear, home decor, handmade goods, as well as logistics and transport.
The forum will feature B2B meetings and networking sessions with businesspeople and representatives of Thai government agencies, which will make it possible to build direct dialogue and identify promising areas of cooperation. Participation is free with advance registration.
Hosting cultural and business events will not only strengthen people-to-people ties but also expand trade and economic cooperation between Moscow and Thailand, creating new opportunities for joint projects and investment.
