Days of Moscow in Astana
The Days of Moscow held in Astana on December 21 to 23. A delegation of the Moscow Government headed by the Minister, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations S. Cheremin arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan to participate in the events.
Within the framework of the eventful program, meetings held with Mayor of Astana J. Kasymbek, Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan M. Karabayev and Minister of Culture and Information A. Balayeva.
The central event was the business forum “Smart Cities: Moscow and Astana”. In their speeches, the experts paid attention to promising projects of cooperation between the two capitals, the development of transport infrastructure, creative industries, and the introduction of digital technologies into urban process management.
In his presentation, Sergey Cheryomin spoke about Moscow’s achievements in creating a comfortable urban environment and implementing the Smart City project.
“Today Moscow is a leader in the field of electric transport development. An electric river tram was launched this year. More than 300 thousand residents and guests of the capital have used it this season alone. We strive to ensure that all urban public transport becomes electric by 2030,” S. Cheryomin said.
Muscovites have prepared an interesting cultural program for residents and guests of Astana. On the eve of the New Year holidays, young residents of Astana were invited to a meeting with Santa Claus and to the play “If I were an adult”. The roles were played by the actors of the Pokrovka Theater. An art exhibition “Luminescence” was opened in the Moscow business center, where E. Kutuzova ‘s works were exhibited for the first time. A striking event was a joint concert, at which outstanding soloists and actors of Moscow theaters performed, accompanied by the Astana Pop Symphony Orchestra.
