Moscow’s experience in the field of youth policy was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum  

As a part of the visit of the delegation of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 15-18, 2022, the Moscow Center for International Cooperation organized a business session “Sustainable Cities and Communities for Youth Development: the experience of Moscow and other megacities of the world”. The participants of the session – representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow – presented their international youth projects and exchanged best practices.

In addition, business events were held under the auspices of the Moscow Government within the framework of the “Friends for Leadership” SPIEF-2022 program, where young delegates discussed the most pressing issues of the global economic agenda, including the problem of food security, digital cooperation, the implementation of scientific and student exchanges, cultural and humanitarian initiatives and assistance to the implementation of the UN sustainable development program until 2030.

The Moscow Center for International Cooperation together with the Russian Academy of Sciences and the House of Latin America held a Business breakfast for representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the Russian Federation. The guests discussed the development of the financial industry and financial support measures in cities, as well as the growth potential of medium and small businesses in megacities.

“Friends for Leadership” is a permanent international pool of foreign youth involved in the promotion of multilateral economic and humanitarian projects. Now the community consists of teams from more than 100 countries working in 23 project groups, including 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals until 2030.
