Restoration workshops at the “Denkmal, Russia – Moscow”
The Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow and the Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow organized a stand of the Moscow Government at the VI International Specialized Exhibition on preservation, restoration, use, popularization of cultural heritage, redevelopment and museum technologies “Denkmal, Russia – Moscow” on October 21 – 23, 2021. The pavilion was very popular among guests and participants – representatives of the field of restoration, museum business and development companies.
During the three-day work of the pavilion, the Moscow Center for International Cooperation organized master classes, seminars and a plenary session named «Cultural heritage objects in the context of a modern city. Actual methods of adaptation and commercialization of objects» with the participation of such eminent specialists as Thomas Dienberg, Heiderose Heßke, Matthias Forsbohm, Wolfgang Hocquél, Manfred Gerner, Gergele Nagy, Maggi Luciano and Fabbri Elisabetta.
In addition, three specialized conferences were held on the following topics: «Technologies of restoration of natural stone on objects of cultural heritage» and «Modern ways of popularization of architectural monuments», for students – «Profession restorer» and «Professional education in the field of restoration. Competencies of the future for modern specialists». Round tables and an open scientific and practical seminar were also organized, which brought together a large number of participants.
