Strategic Partnership for Development and Growth
The Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, the Roscongress Foundation, together with the Business Council for Cooperation with India, held the Forum “Cooperation for Development and Growth” in New Delhi on March 29-30, 2023. The event was held under the auspices of strengthening ties with Russia’s traditional partners, SPIEF participants. The operator of the event was the Moscow Center for International Cooperation.
B2B meetings organized within the framework of the Forum enjoyed significant success among the business communities of Russia and India, where prospects for cooperation in such areas as Smart City, Safe City, digitalization, trade and economic cooperation, modernization of transport infrastructure, sustainable development of megacities were discussed. The Indian side expressed interest in developing Moscow’s ties with its various regions. More than three hundred B2B meetings organized for Russian companies took place.
During the visit, an extensive cultural program was also held for the guests of the event at the Russian House and the Russian Embassy in India.
The forum was attended by a record number of delegates – 450 people – representatives of the administration and the business community, heads of federal ministries and departments, institutes and public organizations. At the sections, participants discussed issues of supporting companies from the Russian Federation in reorienting to new markets, the possibility of creating alliances in the field of high technologies, in particular: cybersecurity, IT, industry and manufacturing, smart cities, healthcare, transport and logistics.
In addition, the discussion touched upon foreign policy issues, namely the transition to a multipolar world order, the new reality of raw materials and energy markets and the role of the technological revolution in economic development.
The forum was organized jointly with the Roscongress Foundation, the Russian Export Center, the Association for the Export of Technological Sovereignty, the Non-profit Partnership of Software Developers RUSSOFT and the Global Council for Innovation and Industry.
