Moscow and Chinese Company Huaming Agree on Cooperation
On May 12, 2025, the Russian–Chinese Forum on Trade in Services opened at the Huaming Business Center in Moscow under the slogan “Sunny Path — Creating the Future Together.” The event will run through May 18 and marks an important step in strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
Forum Highlight
As part of the forum, the Government of Moscow (Department for External Economic and International Relations) and the Chinese International Investment Company Huaming signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, noted:
“Moscow is a dynamically developing metropolis with enormous investment potential. Through large-scale projects, we are improving infrastructure and creating new jobs. For five consecutive years, the capital has led the National Investment Climate Ranking, and we are committed to deepening this partnership to promote the growth of both the Russian and Chinese economies.”
Key Areas of Cooperation
The memorandum outlines the following areas of collaboration:
Exchange of global best practices in investment;
Development of Moscow as an international financial center;
Mutual information support in Russia and China;
Attracting investors;
Promotion of business tourism, hospitality, trade, and digital technologies;
Organization of joint forums, as well as cultural, sports, and educational events.
To implement these initiatives, a joint organizing committee will be established with representatives from both countries and partner organizations.
This agreement opens up new opportunities for economic and cultural cooperation between Moscow and China.
