Multinational celebration Apricot was held in Moscow
As part of the National Hospitality Festival “Friendship of Nations”, which took place on July 16 at the VDNKh territory, a multinational celebration called “Apricot” was held. Representatives of more than 80 nationalities took part in it.
The official part of the event was opened by the President of the Armenian Union of Russia, Ara Abramyan. Then, the guests of the celebration were greeted by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, Sergei Cheremin, who read a greeting on behalf of the Mayor of Moscow. “The tradition of holding the multinational celebration “Apricot” in Moscow has become good and kind. It symbolizes the hospitality, friendship, and unity of our nations, who are the custodians of national and cultural traditions,” the greeting said.
Among the honorary guests, there were also the Head of the Department of National Policy and Intergovernmental Relations of Moscow, Vitaly Suchkov; the Dean of the Higher School of Television of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Vitaly Tretiakov; the Head of the Department for Work with CIS Countries and External Relations of the VDNKh, Irina Yaremko; the Russian political scientist, Professor at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Andranik Migranyan; the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Alexey Karyakin; the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Zaporizhzhia Region, Ekaterina Stepanyuk; the Deputy Head of the Department for Coordination of Integration Processes of the Department for the Development of Civil Society and Coordination of Integration Processes of the Internal Policy Management of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Vyacheslav Kamiliev; the Head of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “House of Peoples of Russia” in Donetsk People’s Republic, Irina Belyakova; the Chairman of the local national-cultural autonomy of Greeks in Zaporizhzhia, Stepan Kuvachev; representatives of the “Fund of Memory of Victory Commanders”.
Throughout the day, guests were presented with interesting and diverse events. One of the highlights of “Apricot” was the “March of Friendship” accompanied by the Brass Band of the Armenian Union of Russia. And the youngest guests remembered the puppet show, animators, and cheerful stilt walkers.
Volunteers treated everyone with ripe apricots specially brought from Armenia, embodying the warmth of the southern sun.
The celebration “Apricot” is organized by the Armenian Union of Russia with the support of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Interethnic Relations and the Government of Moscow.
