The Anniversary Moscow Mayor’s Golf Cup to Be Held at Moscow Country Club

On August 15 and 16, 2025, the prestigious Moscow Country Club in Nakhabino will host the 20th anniversary Moscow Mayor’s Golf Cup. The tournament is organized by the regional public organization “Golf Federation of the City of Moscow” with the support of the Department of Sports of Moscow and the autonomous non-profit organization “Moskovsky Sport.” The competition will take place on an 18-hole professional course and is traditionally a significant event in the capital’s sporting calendar.

For the first time, the tournament will include a children’s championship – the Moscow Mayor’s Children’s Golf Cup – scheduled for August 15. Sixty top juniors from Moscow and various regions of Russia will compete for the title of champion and valuable prizes.

The main event on August 16 will bring together the strongest professional players, who will compete for the top prizes: two Moskvich 3E electric cars. Amateurs will compete in a parallel category, vying for trophies and gifts from the event’s partners and sponsors.

“The tournament format has been updated. Therefore, although the Moscow City Golf Club was our main venue for many years, in recent years the suburban Moscow Country Club with its 18-hole professional golf course has been chosen for the event,” noted Sergei Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, and President of the Golf Federation of Moscow.

The event will be attended by distinguished guests, including representatives of the Moscow Government, the Department of Sports, and the leadership of “Moskovsky Sport.” Participants will receive welcoming addresses from Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Head of the Department of Sports Alexander Kondarantsev. The tournament will conclude with an awards ceremony for the winners and prize winners.

The tournament aims to develop and promote golf, enhance the sporting skills of professionals and amateurs, and advocate for a healthy lifestyle. The event will conclude with a formal awards ceremony for the winners and prize winners.
