India Shows Interest in Fashion Cooperation Following BRICS+ Fashion Summit

On December 22, the Russian diplomatic mission in New Delhi hosted a meeting with fashion industry representatives and business leaders to discuss the outcomes of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit.

Samiip Shastri, Vice Chairman of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated during the meeting at the Russian Embassy that Indian designers and entrepreneurs hope to establish regular fashion forums under the BRICS framework.

The event brought together prominent figures including Sunil Sethi, Chairman of the Fashion Design Council of India; Rajesh Masand, President of the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India; and renowned Indian actress and fashion activist Aishwarya Sharma. All participants agreed on the importance of institutionalizing BRICS fashion initiatives.

The attendees had previously participated in the BRICS+ Fashion Summit, which gathered professionals from 60 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, CIS, and Southeast Asia.
