Round table on the exchange of work experience with compatriots living abroad

On August 7, a round table meeting on the exchange of work experience with compatriots abroad was held in Makhachkala (Republic of Dagestan). The organizers were the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow and the Government of the Republic of Dagestan.

The round table was opened by the III International Forum of Compatriots, which brought together in Dagestan more than 100 representatives of the Russian diaspora from 30 countries.

The greeting of the Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations Sergei Cheremin was read to the participants of the event by the head of the Department for Work with Compatriots, CIS and Baltic Countries of the Department Vladimir Grinko.

The Minister noted that the current meeting is a continuation of the practice that the Moscow Government together with colleagues from other Russian regions began in 2020, when the round table was first held in St. Petersburg. Vladimir Grinko presented Moscow’s work with foreign compatriots. Among the main directions he named the promotion of the Russian language, work with young people and support for Russian-language media.

Moscow intends to continue cooperation with the regions on the exchange of experience in this area, he also assured.
