Moscow Hosts Meeting with Foreign Business Representatives
On March 17, a significant meeting with representatives of foreign businesses actively operating in the Russian capital took place at the Moscow City Situational Center. The event brought together key departments of the Government of Mosscow, including the Department for External Economic and International Relations, the Department of Economic Policy and Development, the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, and the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development.
Opening the meeting, Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, said: “I am constantly in dialogue with the business community, and I want to emphasize that the support measures of the Moscow Government extend not only to residents and local companies but also to foreign businesses. We are creating all the conditions for their successful operation and development.”
During the constructive dialogue, participants discussed a wide range of issues related to supporting foreign businesses in Moscow. Special attention was paid to existing government support mechanisms, which include:
- tax incentives and preferences;
- simplified administrative procedures;
- access to educational and innovation programs;
- assistance in entering new markets;
- help adapting to the requirements of Russian legislation.
Foreign companies operating in Moscow play an important role in the development of the city’s economy. Today, more than 30,000 organizations with foreign capital are successfully active in nearly all economic sectors, from industry to IT.
Despite the challenging geopolitical situation and sanctions pressure, foreign business representatives are demonstrating resilience and continue to develop their projects in Moscow and Russia as a whole. The city authorities are ready to continue creating favorable conditions for foreign investors, supporting their successful operations and the implementation of new initiatives.
