Moscow to Present Its Investment Potential at AIM Congress 2026

Representatives of the Government of Moscow will take part in the 15th Annual Investment Forum AIM Congress 2026, to be held September 7–9, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The event is held with the support of the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and serves as an international platform for strengthening business ties, attracting investment, and shaping new areas of economic cooperation between countries. AIM Congress will bring together government officials, entrepreneurs, investors, leading scholars, and experts to discuss global economic challenges and investment trends. This year’s central theme is “Transforming Global Prosperity: Unlocking New Investment Opportunities on the Path to a Sustainable and Inclusive Future.”

The forum will include the announcement of the AIM Awards 2026 winners. The award recognizes outstanding achievements in investment attraction, innovation, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and public-private partnerships.

An important part of Moscow’s participation in AIM Congress 2026 will be its city stand, showcasing the Russian capital’s investment and technological potential. Forum guests will be able to learn about the city’s opportunities for capital investment, promising areas of Moscow’s economic development, and conditions for implementing projects. Discussion will focus on formats for cooperation in high-tech industries, the digital economy, and urban governance. In particular, visitors to the stand will be able to explore the Digital Twin of Moscow project. This is a large-scale digital model of the city that brings together data on infrastructure, real estate, transport, and utility systems. The project makes it possible to analyze current processes, forecast changes, and make effective decisions to improve the quality of the urban environment. Moscow companies will also present high-tech solutions at the stand, including professional simulators for training transport and industrial specialists, interactive online simulators for virtual laboratories, AI-powered humanoid robots, and innovative medical developments, including mechanical upper-limb prostheses. The stand will also host business meetings between the Moscow delegation and representatives of foreign companies and the investment community.

On September 7, a discussion titled “Leaders’ Talk. An Investment Strategy for Shared Prosperity: A New Investment Standard for Global Leadership” will take place. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, and Mohamed Al Musharrakh, CEO of the Sharjah FDI Office, will join the event. The discussion will focus on the transformation of modern investment strategies, which are no longer limited to attracting capital. Long-term economic impact and sustainable development are becoming increasingly important. Participants will discuss how states and investors are changing their approaches to foreign direct investment. Special attention will be paid to criteria for quality investment, adapting national strategies to new risks, and the role of cooperation between government and business.

On September 8, a ministerial roundtable, “Investment 4.0: Building a Sustainable and Technology-Driven Global Economy,” will be held. During the session, experts will discuss how to adapt industrial policy for the transition to Industry 4.0. The focus will be on measures to attract foreign direct investment into high-tech enterprises, smart manufacturing, and green industrial clusters, as well as strengthening countries’ technological self-reliance. Key issues will include expanding public-private partnerships and creating mechanisms to attract private capital into strategically important sectors, including renewable energy and high-speed transport. Ministers of economy from the UAE, Mongolia, Zimbabwe, Bahrain, Egypt, Armenia, Sierra Leone, and South Africa will also consider opportunities for investing in the digital and innovation economy, including AI projects.

On the same day, the Dubai Chamber roundtable “Global Trade and Investment in Motion: Opening Bilateral Corridors of Growth” will begin. As global supply chains and investment flows shift, countries are focusing on developing economic corridors to enter new markets and strengthen long-term cooperation. The session will discuss tools for simplifying the movement of goods and capital, aligning regulatory approaches, attracting financing, and strengthening the institutional basis for joint projects.

Moscow’s participation in AIM Congress 2026 is aimed at developing partnerships with foreign businesses, finding new joint projects, and promoting the capital as an attractive investment destination.
