The Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow will participate in the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” to be held in Kazan from May 12 to 17. This is one of the largest platforms for developing economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world. The forum focuses on strengthening trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, and cultural ties. A significant part of the discussions will be dedicated to finding new forms of partnership between regions, cities, international organizations, and businesses.

As part of the forum’s business program, Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow and Head of the Department for External Economic and International, will speak at several key sessions. The Moscow delegation’s participation will allow the capital to present key areas of its international agenda, including the development of urban technologies, economic and humanitarian cooperation, and engagement with the Middle East and North Africa.

The Government of Moscow will organize a booth at the exhibition held alongside the forum. The capital’s exposition will showcase Moscow’s economic opportunities using multimedia technologies. Visitors will be able to learn about Moscow’s innovative projects that help improve the urban environment and enhance the quality of life for residents.

In addition, the event will create new opportunities for expanding international contacts and identifying new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation with partners in the Middle East, North Africa, and Greater Eurasia.
