Thai Culture Festival to Take Place in Hermitage Garden

From August 2 to 4, Hermitage Garden will host the festival Discovering Thailand: From Local to Global. The Kingdom of Thailand, represented by its embassy and Thai organizations in Moscow, in collaboration with provincial administrations and with the support of the Government of Moscow, will showcase the cultural and creative achievements of the country’s northeastern region, known as Isaan.

The festival will feature performances by Thai artists, tastings of traditional dishes and tropical fruits, as well as cooking and Muay Thai workshops. Visitors can also enjoy traditional massage sessions and learn the art of tie-dye fabric techniques.

A Thai market and food court will be set up, along with a fashion show featuring Thai designs. Dance troupes and musicians will perform, including an ensemble from northeastern Thailand and the group TJF, which blends traditional Thai instruments with Western styles.

The Thai festival was first held in Moscow in 2014 and has since attracted at least 30,000 visitors annually. The event not only offers a chance to experience the richness of Thai culture—its wisdom, creativity, and historical heritage—but also strengthens diplomatic ties between Russia and Thailand at both national and grassroots levels. Admission is free, and the festival will run from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
