Thai festival «Creative Journey to Thailand 2023» will be held in Moscow

From 4 to 6 August, the Moscow Hermitage Garden will host the annual Thai Festival. The event is held with the support and assistance of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, the Department of Culture of Moscow, the Moscow Center for International Cooperation, Mosgorpark, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Phuket Tourist Association. Free admission.

The official opening ceremony of the festival will take place on August 4 at 18:00. Visitors will be presented with an exciting program performed by creative teams from Russia and Thailand, including the MGIMO cheerleaders, traditional and modern Thai dance ensembles, demonstration performances of Thai boxing, fashion shows from Thai and Russian designers.

On August 5 and 6, visitors to the festival will be able to get acquainted with the national traditions and art of this country. The festival will feature Thai cuisine and exotic fruits, master classes on cooking popular Thai dishes, demonstration performances of Thai boxing, traditional Thai massage sessions and sale of Thai products. The program will diversify the performance of the Jazz Quartet of Thailand led by the eminent world-class musician Dr. Pathorn Srikaranonda together with the participant of the Thai show “Voice” Petite Yada, as well as performances of the Moscow creative choreographic ensembles “Gzhel”, “Sotsvetiye”, “Veselukha” and “Yarineya”.

During the festival, fashion shows of Thai and Russian designers will be held with the support of the Agricultural Representative Office of Thailand in Moscow, the Department of Sericulture of Queen Sirikit, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Cooperatives of Thailand. They will be held on August 4 and 5, 2023.

The Thai Festival was first organized in 2014, and every year it is visited by tens of thousands of guests. The festival gives Muscovites the opportunity to touch the rich Thai culture, and also strengthens cultural relations between Russia and Thailand.
